@gangsta28ny he only decreased the debt on paper, and he did it by making us weak across the world and stunting economic development - the economy was in full recession by the time W took over. A balanced budget don't mean squat if you can't sustain it.

@JonesSoda15 no, clinton decreased the national dept during his last 2 years, then that is when republicans came and start spending money like they always do. Bush did, Reagan did it, etc.
